BURGER 55 PRESENTS: BIG MIKE EGG-O-TASTIC BURGER

By Mike Reilly

Once a month we head down to Penticton’s favorite burger spot, BURGER 55, and have a member of the Vees design a ‘Vees Burger’. This month we took Mike Reilly down to the Burger shack, maybe a burger can help the healing process?

One could work up quite the appetite with all the skating that Mike Reilly does. The first year defenseman has been skating circles around the opposition this season.

Reilly has the top scoring defenseman in the BCHL before he suffered an arm injury; through 39 games “Mikey” has put up FIFTY-SIX points!

The youngest Reilly is known for his breath-taking speed and agility that leaves the crowd on the edge of their seat. To keep that up, Reilly needs fuel and gets it with the Big MIKE Egg-o-tastic Burger. The mound of awesomeness includes an AAA beef patty grilled just right; throw on top an over-easy egg with the fix’ens and you have a hunger stopper.

Mikey can stick-handle around any opponent and you can stick-handle around hunger with the Big MIKE Egg-o-tastic Burger at Burger 55!

INGREDIENTS

  • AAA Beef patty
  • One over-easy egg
  • White Bun
  • Aged cheddar
  • Ketchup
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato

The Big Mike Egg-o-tastic Burger will be available until mid February at Burger 55 off Main and Front, on Westminster East.

BURGER 55 PRESENTS: BENIK BACON-HANDER BURGER

Once a month we head down to Penticton’s favorite burger spot, BURGER 55, and have a member of the Vees design a ‘Vees Burger’. First up is acting Captain Joey Benik playing ‘mad scientist’ with his creation: BENIK BACON-HANDER

Joey is one of seven Minnesotans that are playing for the Vees this season and our neighbours from the state of 10,000 lakes are known for their love of hockey and the outdoors-just like us Canucks.

oey is known to go “top cheese” on the opposition goalies and it’s no surprise the Bacon-Hander is loaded with some of Burger 55’s finest. The Bacon-Hander burger also features some classic Canadian Back Bacon; a hint that there is a touch of Canada in all Minnesotans.

As you can tell, I’m just in awe of this bacony, cheesy goodness

Canadian Back Bacon, aged Cheddar Cheese, and Mozzarella are just some of the ingredients that make this burger ”pop.”

 A burger tower of awesomeness!

 The picture says it all….

The Benik Bacon-Hander Burger will be available until mid December at Burger 55 off Main and Front, on Westminster East.
