Friday’s Roundup

Curtis McKenzie assisted on Miami’s only goal, as the Redhawks tied Providence 1-1

Joey Holka scored once, as St. Cloud State beat up on Alabama-Huntsville 8-3

Travis St. Denis was held pointless in Quinnipiac’s 1-1 tie with Ohio State. Mike Garteig didn’t play

Big night for Mark MacMillan in Alaska. MacMillan scored twice and finished with three points, as North Dakota blanked Anchorage 5-0

Speaking of big nights, Travis Ouellette had three points, as Ferris State blitzed Mercyhurst 7-3

Three former Vees went head-to-head in Mankato, as the Mavericks tied RPI 3-3. Bryce Gervais scored his first NCAA goal in the tie; Nick Buchanan didn’t play for Mankato. Luke Curadi and Bo Dolan were pointless for RPI.

James Polk was held off the score-sheet, as Nebraska-Omaha skated past Northern Michigan 5-2.

No points for Ryan Viselli, as Bowling Green edged Colgate 3-1.

Steven Fogarty is still looking for his first NCAA point, as Notre Dame downed Minnesota-Duluth 4-1; Derik Johnson didn’t play for the Bulldogs.

Big upset, maybe the early upset of the year, as Michigan Tech surprised top-seeded Minnesota 5-3 at home. Former Coquitlam Express Alex Petan scored maybe the NCAA goal-of-the-the-year.(Mike Reilly was on the ice)

Isaac MacLeod’s Boston College Eagles rallied to beat UMass in OT 5-4

Joey Laleggia got the better of former teammate Logan Johnston, as Denver topped UMass-Lowell 5-1. Laleggia had one assist; Johnston finished -1.
