You’re young, like to go out with friends and you like hockey but you’re stuck working on the weekends. Well, the Vees, along with Huber Bannister Chevrolet and the Lakeside Casino have something for you!

This Wednesday, when the Vees battle the Vernon Vipers for first place in the Interior Division, one lucky fan will be leaving the game with a car. Yes. A CAR.

It’s “Hump Day” at the SOEC, as all tickets are just $5, yup just $5 and beers are just $2.50. AND there’s this raffle for a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier (Courtesy of Huber Bannister Chevrolet) that will be given away in the second intermission. No, it’s not a Ferrari, but if you are like me, buying a car can be expensive and there is young people out there who need a reliable vehicle for work / school. Oh yea, the raffle is JUST $2. Yeah, you could win a new car for just $2. Not bad eh? Plus when you buy a raffle ticket you’re doing a good deed, as all proceeds from the raffle will go towards the School District 67 Breakfast Program.

As mentioned it’s cheap beer night too (I know CHEAP BEER!?!?) and when you buy the $2.50 beer, keep the magnet from your “Bottoms Up” beer glass, as it’s redeemable for $10 in free slot or table match play at the Lakeside Casino! Yes, I am saying you’re going to get cheap beer ANDDDDDDD a $10 casino chip; playing with house money-literally.

You’re stunned, I know, so lets recap:

This Wednesday

  • Tickets are just $5-all ages. That’s it. Just $5.
  • Beer is $2.50 (19+).
  • Car Raffle is $2 per ticket (buy as many as you like!)

Oh and the Vees are playing the Vernon Vipers for top spot in the Interior Division; kind of a big game people. Tell a friend, then they’ll tell a friend, and then they tell a friend’s friend and then they’ll tell a friends’ friend’s friend?!?! Just spread the word and see you at the SOEC on Wednesday!
