The Vees are on a roll, winners of eight straight and nearing the Christmas break, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have an eye on next year. Today the team announced a key piece for the 2014-15 Vees, with the commitment of 17-year-old Warren Foegele.
Foegele plays at St. Andrew’s College in Aurora, Ontario, an all-boys prep school. He plays on their Varsity team and leads the Saints in scoring with a staggering 15 goals and 37 points in just 17 games. Foegele was out here in the summer, as he attended the Vees Training Camp and played in a couple of exhibition games. The 6’1 forward plays a power-forward game and he looked good when he was here. To give fans a comparison, he has that same type of fearless attitude that is exhibited by current Vees forward Anthony Conti. Like Conti, Foegele drives the net whenever he can and doesn’t shy away from the “dirty areas.” His numbers show he possesses a lot of high-end skill and has all the potential to be an immediate impact player next season.
Already getting excited about next year.
