Today the Penticton Vees released their timeline for season ticket renewals and purchases for the 2015-2016 season. Season ticket holders can start reserving their seat(s) for the 2015-2016 as of Monday, March 30th and have until Friday April 17th to reserve their seat(s).
I’m sure the question will come up, “Why the price increase?” After two years the Vees have slightly increased their season tickets, a $20 bump on their three-tier pricing structure. The tickets are still a bargain, as if you break it down per game, you’re only paying between $6-$7.82 a ticket. That would still be drastically cheaper than walk up tickets -Adult $13 ($14 on game day) / Senior $11 ($12 on game day).
If you take a look around the Interior, the Vees tickets are still very cost effective. Salmon Arm’s early bird adult prices for next year are listed a $249, Vernon as well. West Kelowna’s prices this year was $199, same with Merritt and Trail charged $285 for adults this year. So, if you look around the Okanagan, Vees season tickets are a great bargain.
Finally I ask you, how much is it to go to a movie per person? Or how much do you spend on your coffee at Starbucks per day? Or weekly at Tim Hortons? Anyway you slice it, these season ticket prices are still making watching hockey in the South Okanagan family friendly and easy on the wallet too.
I hope we say another strong season ticket base for next year!
