Friends of Vees Chaplain Jamie Weberg have started a gofundme page to raise $2,500 for a “special gift” for his family. As many of you are aware, Jamie is battling cancer and his brave fight has been ongoing since March, 2014. Jamie has been involved with the Vees since I got here in 2012, as he’d done a wonderful job as the team’s Chaplain.
Jamie has forged strong relationships with many players over the past four years and his highly respected within the Penticton Community as a Pastor. Jamie and his wife Kristen and children Emma and Jenzen have good through a lot in the past 14 months, with numerous treatments and hospital visits. I can’t say enough good things about Jamie and I hope this gofundme campaign can reach its target! It looks like it’s off to a great start, around $1,600 has been raised as of this morning.
