(Joey Laleggia in action with the Oilers at the Young Stars Classic Saturday)

Joey Laleggia is one of two former Vees playing in the Young Stars Classic this week in Penticton. Brendan O’Donnell is the other, as he’s playing with the Winnipeg Jets on a tryout.

*I’ve been told O’Donnell will make his Jets debut Monday against the Oilers.

Laleggia and the Oilers are 2-0, after wins over Vancouver (8-2) and Calgary (6-3). The Oilers wrap-up their tournament schedule tomorrow mid-morning against Winnipeg. Oilers TV sat down with Laleggia, talking about his pro debut in the AHL last spring, playing in the Young Stars Classic and playing alongside Connor McDavid.

Thx for this & the links, Fraser. It’s been so great at this year’s Young Stars, & especially super being able to talk with both Brendan O’Donnelk & Joey! And, inadvertently Connor McDavid. (That’s another story)
Joey LaLeggia is an extremely focused player, is everywhere he’s supposed to be, & has been clocking tons of minutes. Special to me, I met his Grandma & Mom , so was able to say personally how proud all us Vees fans are of him. I saw Beendan at practice & really pleased to see he may play today . Super guy with a mean wrister Thank you Canucks, for again holding event here!!
