Conway BCHL P.O.W.


Scott Conway had enjoyed his first weeks in the BCHL. The 20-year-old had seven points in three games last week, all Vees wins, and Monday he was named the Player of Week. Linemate and Vees’ Captain Tyson Jost received an Honourable Mention after also bagging seven points in three games.

Penticton Vees forward Scott Conway has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 20, the league announced Monday.

Conway paced the Vees with seven points in leading the team to three wins in as many tries. The native of Basingstoke, England had the game-winner plus an assist while taking 1st Star in a 3-2 home win over Vernon and followed that with a goal and an assists in a 6-2 road win in Surrey. The 6-foot, 190-pound forward then tallied twice, including the game-winning goal, plus an assist in a 4-1 road win over West Kelowna where he was again named 1st Star.
