Doyle Cup Suspensions

Hockey Canada announced suspensions Friday morning to the Brooks Bandits and Penticton Vees following incidents late in game four.

Brooks Bandits forward Jeremy Burns (91) has been suspended for two games. Burns received ten minutes in penalties and two game misconduct’s for his actions. Burns received two five-minute majors, one for Goaltender Interference and another for High Sticking; Burns is eligible for a possible game seven on Sunday.

David Watt (91) of the Bandits and Chad Bannor (92) both were handed one game suspensions for their fight late in game four. Under Hockey Canada rules, any fight within the last five minutes of game, results in the two participants each receiving one game suspensions.

The resulting suspensions leaves the Bandits down two  twenty year-old’s for tonight’s game. Alex Jewell (94) will replace the suspended Bannor upfront for the Vees.
